VISUAL DESIGN INTERN

I worked with the Experience Team to update the company's branding and website. As an intern, every project that I worked on gave me hands-on experience while also further developing the brand identity of the company. I have not only designed graphic elements and programs for HIKE2's annual Innovation Summit, but I also had a hand in planning some of the details and finalizing the overall brand elements of the event.

GOOGLE UX DESIGN PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATE

I am currently enrolled in the Google UX Design Professional Certificate program, a comprehensive exploration of the fundamental skills of UX Research and Design. I am designing a mobile app for a local coffee shop by following each step of the design process, from user research and wireframing to creating interactive prototypes in Figma. You can follow my progress here.

EDITOR-IN-CHIEF

The Pitt Pulse Creative Science Magazine

April 2021 - April 2022

After writing and designing for The Pitt Pulse Creative Science Magazine for a year and serving as a staff editor for another year, I stepped up to take the mantle of Editor-in-Chief in the spring of 2021. As the head of the writing division of the magazine, I worked closely with the Publisher to organize events and keep track of the schedule. I oversaw new and experienced writers by providing feedback and answering questions as they wrote articles for the publication. I then reviewed the articles and selected which ones to publish in the magazine.

ART DIRECTOR

The Pitt Pulse Creative Science Magazine

April 2020 - April 2022

I oversaw a team of graphic designers throughout the design cycle for each publication of The Pitt Pulse magazine. Together, my team and I designed and formatted each article over a three-week period. Once the designs were finalized, I then compiled each design into a final document, ensured that each page was readable and formatted correctly, and sent it to print.

UX RESEARCH AND
DESIGN INTERN

University of Pittsburgh

January 2021 - May 2021

I worked with a professor at the University of Pittsburgh to help develop and expand a website that teaches students and instructors how to work with web coding. I researched user-centered design principals to ensure the website prototype was easy to learn and use. The focus of this internship was to make the site as widely accessible as possible, so there is a heavy emphasis on user experience and accessibility features.

SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT INTERN

ANSYS, Inc.

May 2020 - August 2020

I worked with the Core Mechanical team to add new features to the Ansys Mechanical engineering simulation application. These features centered on enabling users to scope pressure and displacement loads to individual elements comprising a geometry mesh. In addition to implementing these features, my team and I also extensively tested each new addition to ensure the software still ran smoothly. During the course of the internship, my team used the scrum methodology to keep everyone on task and ensure all goals were met.

DATA ANALYTICS INTERN

ANSYS, Inc.

May 2019 - August 2019

As a new intern, I was tasked with overseeing and improving the Ansys Product Improvement Program (APIP for short), a data analysis initiative that allows Ansys developers to improve their products based on data voluntarily collected from users. I queried and organized data using SQL and Python within Azure Databricks Workspace, creating tables and graphs to visually represent the data to developers.
